STS-115 Atlantis resumes ISS construction

The Space Shuttle Atlantis carried into orbit the first new piece of the International Space Station since 2002. Launch finally occured on September 9 at 11:14:55am EDT after several delays due to weather (such as Hurricane Ernesto) and technical glitches. Atlantis brings the second set of enormous solar arrays to attach to the ISS.
