Endeavour blasts off to resupply the International Space Station on STS-126. The photos picturing two shuttles on pads 39A and 39B show Endeavour in the distance while Atlantis, foreground, prepares for the final Shuttle-Hubble servicing mission, STS-125. Endeavour would have served as the rescue shuttle in an emergency, a mission known as STS-400. Following a delay to STS-125's launch, Endeavour was rolled over from pad B to A for the STS-126 launch. Endeavour landed at Edwards AFB, California, following its mission and returned to KSC on the 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft.
