Partial Solar Eclipse 2005
April 8, 2005, from Daytona Beach, Florida
A partial solar eclipse was visible across the southern U.S. on April 8, 2005. It was the off-center result of a total/annular (hybrid) eclipse that drew a line across the Pacific and into Central America (totality never touched land, however). In Daytona Beach, maximum eclipse was 36%. Mostly cloudy skies prevailed throughout the first half.
