STS-124 Discovery launches Kibo module to ISS

STS-124  Discovery brings Japan's science laboratory Kibo, or Hope, to the International Space Station. It was the largest module attached the ISS.

During launch, more than 3,000 bricks from the flame trench were dislodged and strewn about the area. Photos from my unusual camera location due-north

of the pad wound up capturing some of the debris splashing into the water and were used as photo documentation by NASA and on television.
