| Return to South America gallery Homepage Like an alien landscape, Lago Grey stretches miles in front of Grey Glacier. At its foot is a moonscape of a beach, nothing but pebbles for at least a mile in length. As you walk out on it, what seems like a small rise just ahead turns into a ten foot wall a thousand feet away. It is stunningly beautiful even on a cloudy day where low clouds hug the lake. Icebergs that appear to be right ahead turn out to be to be spectacular formations bigger than houses. |
