| My first Total Solar Eclipse was marred with cloud cover during totality, but it was no less spectacular as day turned to night over Reims, France on August 11, 1999. Duration of totality from this location is cited as 1 m 59 s from NASA (other sources claim a few seconds over two minutes). Celestron C-90 (1000mm f/11); Kodak Royal Gold 100. Very poor, old flatbed scans from prints. |
