Skylab wreckage in Western Australia
See a photo gallery and read a story about Skylab in Esperance on Space.com (also on NBC and Yahoo)!

In 1979, America's first space station, Skylab, crashed to Earth in remote Western Australia after six years in orbit. Much of the wreckage
was scattered across a large swath of land starting near Esperance, a small town of about 10,000 today in the sparsely-populated state.
Much of what was recovered is today on display in a small museum on the waterfront, and I visited in 2012 to document it. (For more
information, see story linked above).
