Back to STS-130 photos

The Tranquility module, subject of the Colbert Report for several months in 2009, is ready to be placed inside the payload canister and taken to the launch pad for insertion into Endeavour. At the end of the last US component of the International Space Station* is the cupola, the "windows on the world" for the ISS. The observation deck will be moved to the side of the module once attached to the ISS. (*A Multipupose Logistics Module, already flown to the ISS and back on a few shuttle flights, will be permanantly attached on the last mission).
