A Boeing Delta 4 rocket awaits launch from Cape Canaveral with the GOES-N next-generation weather satellite on Aug. 15 & 16, 2005. Technical glitches forced a scrub of both launch attempts, and a third could not be made due to an on-orbit sun-angle cutout period that GOES-N could not be launched during. That period ended Oct. 5. These photos were taken during remote camera setup on the morning of both attempts. The one photo below this paragraph was taken from the press viewing site on the NASA causeway, about three miles from the launch pad.
