The Space Shuttle Endeavour departs Florida for the last time - the last time any shuttle will be airborne or piggybacked atop NASA's 747 Shuttle Carrie Aircraft (747). It is bound for Los Angeles, California, where it will be paraded 12 miles through the streets of LA from the airport to its final home, the California Science Center downtown. After construction of a new museum facility, Endeavour is to be displayed in spectacular, vertical fashion, mounted to a pair of Solid Rocket Boostrers and a replica orange External Tank, nearly 19 stories tall.
